West Coast Motorcycle Tours will make your dreams of exploring the Golden State and the American West a reality. Our tour guides have ridden tens of thousands of miles over many years, and their intimate knowledge of the country, its roads, and its history enable them to make your dreams come true with ghost towns, gold towns, old stage stops, redwoods and giant sequoias, fantastic food, varied wine appellations, and some of the most renowned craft breweries in the world… along with miles and miles of twisty roads!

Whether you only have a few days available to explore, or you want to tour the American West for two weeks or more, West Coast Motorcycle Tours has the tour for you. Our shorter duration tours focus on Northern and Central California, while our longer tours will explore California and the greater American West with trips through Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Nevada. Due to the realities of weather, not all tours are available year-round every year. Winter storms will close many mountain passes, sometimes until as late as June. In drought years, the same passes may be open year-round. While mountain passes may not be accessible in winter, many of the most interesting areas and enjoyable roads of the West are available every day, with the only ride-limiting factor being winter rains. As WCMT founder Robert says, “The winter is a fabulous time to ride with cool temperatures, less traffic, and better hotel rates.”.

Booking Requirements

• All-weather motorcycle riding experience
• Minimum 1 year or 5,000 miles (8,000 km) of riding experience
  25 years old or older
• Valid motorcycle endorsed driver's license, category A (non-restrictive)
• Valid ID, or any required document to travel to this country (passport, visa, etc.)
• Helmets are required, and ATGATT (All The Gear All The Time) is highly recommended
